Last year I took a class on the history of Japanese Art and it was required to turn in a paper on a chosen Japanese artwork that we studied in class. We had two options, to write a 6? page paper and turn it in during midterm or write a 3 page paper + a recreation of the piece + present on the last day of class ........well although I am terribly shy, I prefer to write less

and the subject of the paper was easier since apart from writing about the painting/artist, we describe what we did for the illustration.

I used acrylics on what my friend believes is Japanese Mulberry paper (I already had the paper and it didn't say what kind of paper it was) The size is 16" x 25"

This is so beautiful. I knew this was Japanese oriented at first glance. My H.S. Art teacher studied Japanese Art and helped me out a lot and I did a scholarship essay on Japanese art.

I love the detail of the birds and the flowers especially. I think it came out very well. No, more like exceptionally well.
